Description
A perfect-bound second-hand copy of Ghost Stories by M. R. (Montague Rhodes) James, re-covered in the style of an antique library book using undyed tooled leather over faux raised bands and vintage hand-marbled paper. The hand-marbled end papers are matched to the cover. An 18th-Century-style library label is included in the front cover and a shelf mark on the back spine. This was inspired by M. R. James’ many references to historic documents in his works.
The spine has been lined with vintage marbled paper and inscribed with the year of (re) binding and a quote from one of M. R. James’ stories: “If I cannot forget that, I shall not be able to sleep again.”
NB: Due to the second hand nature of the main text the paper of the text block will show signs of age.
